2 Stones Trattoria
A wood fired Italian trattoria founded by 2 brothers is located in Corvallis, Oregon. One brother, who has a gluten allergy, was inspired to create a restaurant with his brother that offered gluten-free options. The name "2 Stones" comes from the idea that the restaurant uses two separate wood-fired ovens to cook separate pizza options — one containing gluten and one that is gluten-free to cater to individuals with a gluten allergy. The stones references the two pizza stones.
Solution: To incorporate a number of the above motifs mentioned, the logo uses an open double circle to represent the '2 Stones', 2 options, 2 ovens. The color scheme is an homage to the Italian flag. The logo silhouette as a whole can also mimic the silhouette of a pizza cutter.
A sketched illustration of the Scarborough brothers adds to the rusticity of time-honored recipes and the usage of local ingredients in support of local vendors.
Business cards were made in the shape of little pizza peels to not only emphasize the main product but also to differentiate from other restaurants around.
